Kaledo Weave Designs
These woven designs were created in Kaledo Weave as a series of stripe and plaid variations. I focused on keeping the weave structure consistent while experimenting with color, contrast, and scale to create different moods across the collection. Each textile was designed with specific garments in mind, so the patterns don’t just sit on the surface, they help shape how each piece looks and feels when worn.

Knit Motifs
The floral knit designs use repeated motifs to create a playful, graphic surface while still maintaining the softness of a knit structure. The tulip-inspired shapes are simplified into geometric forms that translate well into stitch patterns, making them both visually clear and technically achievable. Color variation across the designs allows the same motif to feel completely different, from soft and delicate to bold and high-energy.

Knit Stripes
The striped knit designs focus on texture as much as color, using rib structures and yarn variation to create depth within each stripe. Instead of flat, printed lines, the stripes are built directly into the fabric through stitch manipulation, giving them a more dimensional and tactile quality. The color palettes range from bold and high contrast to more tonal combinations, allowing the stripes to shift between statement and subtle depending on the application.

Knit Textures
The textured knit designs explore how stitch techniques like cables and chunky ribs can create visual interest without relying heavily on color. These designs emphasize structure, using raised and recessed areas to build movement across the surface. The result is a fabric that feels dynamic and dimensional, where the texture itself becomes the main design element.
Knits applied to garments
When applied to garments, the knit fabrics enhance both fit and movement, working with the body rather than against it. The ribbed stripes help elongate and contour, while the floral and argyle-inspired designs add personality and visual focus. The stretch and flexibility of the knit structures allow for more fitted silhouettes and layered detailing, showing how these textiles can move seamlessly from concept to wearable design.

Knit design details
The knit fabric designs in this collection explore how structure, stretch, and surface texture can work together to create both visual interest and functional performance. Unlike wovens, these fabrics are built through interlocking loops, allowing for natural flexibility, comfort, and adaptability in movement. Each design considers stitch type, scale, and yarn variation to achieve different effects, from bold graphic motifs to subtle textural shifts. The gallery highlights these variations in detail, showing how changes in construction and color can completely transform the look and feel of a knit fabric.
